Winery: Vinedos del Jorco
Vintage: 2020
Country: Spain
Region: Cebreros/Sierra de Gredos
DO: Cebreros
Grape: Garnacha
Tasting Notes: Pale and aromatic, perfumed, fine-boned, nicely textured, very tasty, clean, precise and focused but with clout and tannins that might benefit from a little more time in bottle.
Viñedos del Jorco is a small project in Gredos from Raúl Pérez, the guys from the wine shop La Tintorería in Madrid, César Ruiz, Nacho Jiménez and Flequi Berruti, and the Madrid restaurateur family Laredo. They have grown from 3,000 bottles and two wines to a more complete portfolio today. They own 4.5 hectares of vineyards and rent another two in the Valle del Jorco in Cebreros, in Navatalgordo (Las Enebradas) and San Esteban del Valle. All are old vines and produce around 16,000 bottles.
